Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Blue Nile Gr. 1

TIP: You can save products to your favorites list if you log in "Yirgacheffe" means many things in coffee industry; of course it is an actual town (also spelled Yrgachefe)but also a source of flavor profiles unique to the region as well as Ethiopia. Blue Nile is a brand given to a proprietary blend of heirloom coffees produced in the Gedeo zone around the actual town of Yirgacheffe. It was jointly developed by importer powerhouse Royal Coffee and the Keffa mill where the super-sorted cherry is processed. Grade 1 is the highest quality designation in Ethiopia and is rated as "near-zero defect", which translates to an extraordinarily clean and sweet cup profile. The predominance of bergamot and Bing cherry/chocolate notes is only found in the very best Yirgacheffes. This makes an amazing single origin espresso, complex and sweet from start to finish.
The coffees are grown at between 1900-2300 meters above sea level, fully-washed and sun-dried on raised beds.
