NOTE: All of our premium Arabica coffees are roasted to City+ to Full City roasts, showing minimal-to-no surface oils….we want all of the flavor to stay in the beans until the coffee is ground! Despite the additional descriptors, the first flavor and aroma you'll think of is "COFFEE".

Keffa Coffee is a Baltimore-based importer run by Ethiopia- native Samuel Demisse, a savvy gent who is a licensed Q-grader and world class cupper who grew up in Agaro around coffee. His personal selections represent the highest expression of Ethiopian coffees from several regions, notably Sidama, Yirgacheffe and Harrar. Last year we were fortunate to procure his “Ch-ire” and Gutiti” and are currently offering three more exceptional coffees: washed Sidama Guji Grade 1, washed Limu-Gera Grade ! and natural process Sidama “Ardi” .
Sidama washed Guji Grade 1 hails from the Guji sub-city of Sidama in the Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples' Region (SNNPR) of Ethiopia in southwestern Ethiopia. Heirloom varietals from elevations ranging from 1900-2000 meters are hand-sorted, with premiums paid to the expert women charged with this task. This Guji continues to stun us with notes of orchid, brown sugar and grapefruit…an unusual range of flavors normally found in very fine washed Kenyan SL28 varietal. Pourover provides the most interesting expression of this origin.

"I'm glad to see that you roast your beans minimally so that the flavor and oils stay in the beans. I'll be ordering some Weinmark soon because I've been looking for someone who has naturally flavored bourbon beans. I'd like to see you extend that to rum as I think that would work well also. Please continue to keep the oil inside the beans!"
