80 year-old Bedhatu Jibicho, one of Ethiopia's longest-standing doyennes of coffee with over 50 years producing some ofEthiopia's best coffee, takes no prisoners. She's still planning expansion of her farm to include an export company, now with her sons firmly in the business. She's a member of the Banko Worka Cooperative but produces and releases our washed Gedeb as a single farm microlot…No.3 in this case…to highlight uniques differences in terroir. Lot #3 bears cupping hallmarks of plum, lavender and cherry ( Lot #2 showed as “lemonade, apricot and brown sugar” on the cupping table at importer Royal Coffee) in drip preparations like Hario V60 and Kalita Wave.
No surprises at how exceptional this coffee is..we have been super-stoked by the Gedeb Natural Process, still in the offering list.

Rossalina is our small-batch roaster capable of roasting samples down to a half-pound with exquisite control. The hallmark of great coffee is consistent roast temperatures and even air flow, and Rossalina delivers on both counts.
"I'm glad to see that you roast your beans minimally so that the flavor and oils stay in the beans. I'll be ordering some Weinmark soon because I've been looking for someone who has naturally flavored bourbon beans. I'd like to see you extend that to rum as I think that would work well also.
