We've seen a lot of coffees from Kenya over the years, but this direct trade microlot is truly extra special….a pet project from Abundancia Coffee, my biz partner Faisal's family of enterprises centered around the golden bean. Intercropped with banana trees and bee-friendly crops, the hectareage is situated in Gatuya, Central Province, at 1850 meters. Triple-picked to near-zero defect level, triple-washed/fermented using natural salinated water, then dried on raised African beds to 11% moisture level. Specially packaged in 30 kg. vacuum-sealed bags befitting its lineage. A unique coffee which has scored 94 points on internationally-recognized cupping panels. Lightish roast with some caramelization, notes of berry, stone fruit and toffee.

Rossalina is our small-batch roaster capable of roasting samples down to a half-pound with exquisite control. The hallmark of great coffee is consistent roast temperatures and even air flow, and Rossalina delivers on both counts.
"As far as the coffee(s) the Cerro de Las Ranas is amazing! You are hitting that spot on! It is juicy/full and sweet like hard candy caramel. I like that the roast leaves a bit of brightness/acidity. For me perfect. The Dara Kebada is intense! The roast profile you choose leave so much of the dried fruit in it that it is wild. Fruit cake meets Good n Plenty! I'm sure all drinkers find it very unique."
