NOTE: All of our premium Arabica coffees are roasted to City+ to Full City roasts, showing minimal-to-no surface oils….we want all of the flavor to stay in the beans until the coffee is ground! Despite the additional descriptors, the first flavor and aroma you'll think of is "COFFEE".

Delivering below the amazing story to accompany our amazing new arrival, Honduras Santa Elena Catracha microlot, produced by Adan Hernandez Amaya. Adan's 4-acre plot ( called “El Esfuerzo”) of the Catuai varietal is farmed at 1664 meters, fully washed and sun-dried on patios. After winning a hard-fought battle against the dreaded roya fungus and participating in monthly Catracha educational seminars, he and his family (wife Juana and three children) dramatically increased cherry yields. We are roasting his coffee light-medium to bring out the high notes of lemon zest, toffee and cola.
Please read below from Mayra Orellana-Powell, our friend at Royal Coffee whose unceasing work to bring this coffee here, to you, is what our coffee community is all about. The link is posted in the BADBLOG

Symphony Latte, by Tyler Hauptman of Sweet Masterpiece
Barista Tyler Hauptman of Sweet Masterpiece (Portland, OR) shows off his chops on Badbeard's Symphony blend coffee.
"The Gelana Abaya is delicious -- blueberry flavor with funky cocoa and toasted coconut sweetness in the finish. The sample of the Kiamabara was everything I expect from a Kenya offering -- sparkling plum acidity, contrasting with a sweet but clean finish. So I thank you for the Kiamabara. It will difficult to decide which I will want for my next purchase."
