NOTE: All of our premium Arabica coffees are roasted to City+ to Full City roasts, showing minimal-to-no surface oils….we want all of the flavor to stay in the beans until the coffee is ground! Despite the additional descriptors, the first flavor and aroma you'll think of is "COFFEE".

A great gift any time for your favorite coffee geek is the new harvest microlot (really a nanolot, production is so limited) Organic Colombia Granja La Esperanza natural process from their Potosí
Farm in the Caicedonia Province (Valle de Cauca), a rough and tumble 6 hour Land Rover trek northwest of capital Bogotá. The turnkey (seed-to-cup) operations of Granja La Esperanza is one of a small handful of the most forward-thinking coffee producers in the Americas, giving us sensational and exotic coffees as well as great social benefits to the farmers. Our partners at Portland importer Sustainable Harvest have worked closely with the G.L.E team over the years and bring in a wide range of their products from the three producing fincas/mills, Potosí, Las Margaritas and Cerro Azul, which together encompass eight unique micro-climate zones.
In 2012, Cafe Granja La Esperanza captivated the Specialty Coffee Association of America by winning the SCAA 'Triple Crown,' which means that three of its coffees were ranked among the 10 best coffees in the world. They embrace traditional washed- as well as labor-intensive and costly honey (pulped natural) and full natural processes. Varietals cultivated include Geisha, Pacamara, Yellow Bourbon, Red Bourbon, Bourbon Tekisic, Laurina, all grown at elevations from 1400-1900 meters. The coffee here is 40% Caturra and 60% Colombia supremo, selected from the Potosi and Margaritas farms, and hand selected after the cherries have reached an intense red/purple.
The natural process we offer is highly aromatic…no surprise given G.L.E. exceptional program of Geisha varietal development…honeysuckle and jasmine come to the nose…as well as chocolatey, fruity, hazelnutty and full-bodied. A complete, complex cup and a real treat!

Serving up Badbeards Coffee at Buzz:Killer Espresso
How to catch a Badbeard buzz at Buzz Killer Espresso in Chicago.
"Just wanted to drop you a note at your request. My wife and I came across your coffee at Tina's Restaurant in Dundee. We loved it the minute we had it. We are from Jersey and were visiting oregon (which we love) for the second time in two years. I love finding unique and sustainably grown coffee. Do you actually know which roast Tina's has, I was not sure so I ordered four roasts which I thought were possibilities. They are great so far. "
