NOTE: All of our premium Arabica coffees are roasted to City+ to Full City roasts, showing minimal-to-no surface oils….we want all of the flavor to stay in the beans until the coffee is ground! Despite the additional descriptors, the first flavor and aroma you'll think of is "COFFEE".

The brilliant coffees produced in tiny, landlocked Rwanda continue to impress us, standing up to many fine washed Ethiopian and Kenyas in quality and punch. A bevvy of hardworking smallholder farmers
in the town of Tumba, Rulindo District, Northern Province produced our microlot Rulindo Tumba fully-washed process gem from Bourbon cultivars at 1825 meters. The production mill of Tumba station had its ups and downs
for a time but has been locked in by a visionary leader, also an esteemed local school teacher, named Venustre Mugraneza. The flavors, characterized loosely here as orange spice to clove to turbinado sugar and Cocoa Puffs, as distinctly Rwandan...
no other way to say it. A powerful sensory experience and rich, buttery pourover or drip. We are, upon request, doing a darker roast for single origin espresso enthusiasts. Please specify when ordering! The "regular" roast profile is light-to-medium to bring out all the spicy palate notes.

New arrivals streaming in... As the PLAGUE wears us all down at times, roasting is a salve for my spirit, and new crop arrivals are fun to share. New decafs in...no jitters! Adding coffees in peak season for many origins is half the fun of my day. Today bringing two new lovely decafs....Rwanda Nyamesheke Swiss Water Process and Colombia natural decaf (sugarcane "extraction" of the caffeine) from the Cudinamarca region. ...more
luca gettin' jiggy with the java
Luca looking forward to his first bottle of caffeine...
"As far as the coffee(s) the Cerro de Las Ranas is amazing! You are hitting that spot on! It is juicy/full and sweet like hard candy caramel. I like that the roast leaves a bit of brightness/acidity. For me perfect. The Dara Kebada is intense! The roast profile you choose leave so much of the dried fruit in it that it is wild. Fruit cake meets Good n Plenty! I'm sure all drinkers find it very unique."
