Kenya AB Gura

TIP: You can save products to your favorites list if you log in Kenya AB Gura hails from the Gura Factory(wet mill) in Nyeri County, another offshoot of the smallholder Othaya Farmers Cooperative Society (OFCS). Farmers of the Society generally maintain half-acre plots averaging 250 shrubs. We also offer and love the OFCS Gatugi Factory AB, which is very different. This AA represents the brightest and boldest of Kenyan coffee, at its best prized for jammy fruit-forwardness and lively acidity.
Growing altitude ranges from 1800-2000 meters and as with almost all fine AB's is mostly SL28 and SL34 varietals with a balance of the Ruiru-11 strain. Our light-medium roast highlights the strong notes of cranapple-orange, black currant jam and dark chocolate. Drip/pourover best for this coffee, but we will also (must be specified when ordering!) do a slightly darker roast for espresso.
