NOTE: All of our premium Arabica coffees are roasted to City+ to Full City roasts, showing minimal-to-no surface oils….we want all of the flavor to stay in the beans until the coffee is ground! Despite the additional descriptors, the first flavor and aroma you'll think of is "COFFEE".

Great Kenya coffee is a must for Badbeardophiles and we strive to bring in only the best and freshest expressions of the vaunted varietals SL28, SL34 and Ruiri 11. To wit our washed AA from the Kiamabara Farmers Cooperative Society , just arrived (packed in GrainPro bags) today 2/11/15 and we're all excited. Massive and fruity/jammy and chocolatey. Kiambara Factory is in Nyeri County's prime growing area and this super-select high-grown (from 1300-2300 meters) cherry from small-holder farms surrounding the Factory (washing station/mill) is sun-dried on raised beds. Fans of Kenyas will be very happy…those needing an introduction to massive coffees will be best suited to try this, and get why Kenyas are so prized among aficionados worldwide.

tumblin' tumblebeans
Anticipation! In about 73 seconds another batch of Badbeard's best will tumble from the roaster.
"The Gelana Abaya is delicious -- blueberry flavor with funky cocoa and toasted coconut sweetness in the finish. The sample of the Kiamabara was everything I expect from a Kenya offering -- sparkling plum acidity, contrasting with a sweet but clean finish. So I thank you for the Kiamabara. It will difficult to decide which I will want for my next purchase."
