NOTE: All of our premium Arabica coffees are roasted to City+ to Full City roasts, showing minimal-to-no surface oils….we want all of the flavor to stay in the beans until the coffee is ground! Despite the additional descriptors, the first flavor and aroma you'll think of is "COFFEE".

Colombia Finca San Jose Tabi

Colombia's Finca San Luis, a fully-integrated, high-end farm in Santa Rosa de Cabal, Risaralda Department, is owned and run by Gilberto Osorio. There has been coffee development at the site since the mid-1930s, when Gilberto's forebears immigrated from the Antioquia region. Finca San Jose sits in a lush tropical canopy at 1700 meters and counts 10,000 coffee trees and several varietals and cultivars on its 26 hectares. This coffee is the Tabi cultivar, a cross of Bourbon, Typica and Timor Hybrid introduced by CENICAFE back in 2002 in the continuing agronomic effort to combat coffee-leaf rust ("roya") without sacrificing good cup quality and crop yield. A very different but no less excellent cup than Don Gilberto's Yellow Caturra, which we loved last year. Fruity, chocolately, sparkly in a pourover, which we can't get enough of!

The infamous coffee-bean cleaning-machine Jacu bird from the Amazon
If your coffee tastes like s--t, don't blame the Jacu bird! This infamous Amazon bean-machine beak-selects each coffee berry at the peak of ripeness and leaves just the beans, somewhat clean and green, behind...so to speak.
