TIP: You can save products to your favorites list if you log in Sulawesi has long been one of our favorite sources in the vast Indonesian archipelago for distinctively earthy, savory, heavy-bodied coffees. The island has not fully recovered from the devastating September 2018 earthquake-tsunami double whammy which impacted every aspect of island life and claimed many lives.
The Toraja peoples are dedicated to their unique cultural traditions and their production of varietals Catimor and S-795 are just as steadfast and colorful. Our Toraja Grade 1 Sulawesi coffee comes from various small holders. The cherries were double-picked
to remove any physical defects. The additional quality control practice ensures that only ripe red cherries are used. The coffee was then
processed using the wet-hulled method (locally called “Giling Basah”), giving the coffee its classic Sulawesi characteristics. The aromatics of Toraja coffee make
it quite distinct from Sumatra wet-hulled process; dark chocolate, walnut, raisin and granola notes are prominent. Highly versatile, it makes a powerful stand-alone French press, drip or espresso in our medium-to-dark mahogany roast profile.
