NOTE: All of our premium Arabica coffees are roasted to City+ to Full City roasts, showing minimal-to-no surface oils….we want all of the flavor to stay in the beans until the coffee is ground! Despite the additional descriptors, the first flavor and aroma you'll think of is "COFFEE".

Near to Santa Ana and El Boqueron National Park sits Finca La Esperanza, a farm which despite the destructive roya blight has retained the "heirloom" Typica and Bourbon varietals. It wasn't that many years ago when most of Central American coffee producers suffered catastrophic losses from roya, which is a shrub-killer. Many chose to replant with more disease-resistant, lower-quality and higher-yielding varietals. La Esperanza persevered, through painstaking farm management, and this offering, a decaffeinated version of their estate coffee, is a shining example of "eco-persistence". Citrusy, sweet almond and cocoa nib notes, nice espresso and drip, uncompromising origin flavor!

Ins and outs, Ethiopia edition Yirgacheffe Kochere is officially out of stock after a torrid run...but fear not, crushing it with a new Yirg from Dumerso, a stone's throw from Chelelektu (our natural process offering). Also shortly we'll have in a wonderful Papua New Guinea, check back ...more
Comings and Goings Papua New Guinea stops about to hit us again next week, but we're void for the time being. Ethiopia new crop Sidamo Arfasa just in stock... Lovely coffee, as always Sidamo region shines bright in the Ethiopia landscape. Produced  in low-density "coffee gardens" by smallholder farmers, there are nice fruit and aromatic notes in this fully washed 2019 crop. A keeper!

"As far as the coffee(s) the Cerro de Las Ranas is amazing! You are hitting that spot on! It is juicy/full and sweet like hard candy caramel. I like that the roast leaves a bit of brightness/acidity. For me perfect. The Dara Kebada is intense! The roast profile you choose leave so much of the dried fruit in it that it is wild. Fruit cake meets Good n Plenty! I'm sure all drinkers find it very unique."
