Primo coffees abounding this week at the roastery as we welcome two new exceptional offerings from one of Colombia's premier estates, Finca Manantiales del Frontino, in Caicedonia, Valle de Cauca. The Geisha is super-special, and to my palate will make you think that Panamanian Geishas are overhyped by comparison. Their Red Bourbon is a washed coffee of a quality never imagined in the "Juan Valdez" universe.
Tomorrow (Dec. 1) we're excited to greet a fantastic Ethiopia natural process Yirgacheffe from the Chelbesa mill which is a big-bodied fruit bomb and a perfect accompaniment to pumpkin pie.
Also back with new fresh lot of Organic Java Taman Dadar, a favorite here for many years running.

With supplies of our Sumatra Bodhi Peaberry and Honey Process Mandheling dwindling we thought it provident to bring back the Sidikalang (Sumatra) Tabu Jamu, which we enjoy drinking as much as saying over and over. Arrival 11/12/13 with a fresh stash of the exceptional Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Kochere. The latter is Grade 1 (we've had Grade 2 previously) and quite similar in cup profile to the vaunted Blue Nile Yirg (supply down to about 15 pounds...first come first serve!)which so many have raved about to me.

Two new arrivals Oct. 23, the amazing fruit monster "Aricha" dry process Yirgacheffe, one of the best ever from that bountiful land, and a chocolate bar-in-a-cup "Palo Alto Azul" from Finca Agua Tibia in the Fraijanes Plateau region outside of Guatemala City. The Guat will be available at local Market of Choice in Oregon in the Savories special at the beginning of November.

My crystal ball tells me that we are getting two hot javas this week, a tremendous, off-the-charts fruit bomb lot of Ethiopia washed Sidamo and two new Mountain Water Process decafs, from Guatemala and Brazil. Three promising samples...two washed Yirgacheffes and a Harar... from our old friends at Dominion Trading were roasted yesterday and we'll let them rest a fw days prior to cupping and reporting back.
Our Yirgacheffe from exporter Andulina is drinking beautifully right now, as a single origin 'spro or drip. The new crop Sumatra Tabu Jamu is very intense and aromatic, and makes great cold brew.
