Honduras Santa Rosa SHG

TIP: You can save products to your favorites list if you log in Just arrived 3/21/13 two different lots of a wonderful full-bodied Euro Prep washed arabica from the Beneficio (=mill) Santa Rosa, a large operation where the finest Honduran javas are processed. The Beneficio was founded in 2005 to serve co-operatives and smaller producers, and the providers list includes to date COCATEL, COCASMIL,COCAFELOL, Capucas, Aruco, and Orlando Arita. These groups represent coffees from all of Honduras's principal growing microzones. The designation "SHG" is given to coffees grown at high elevations, in this case between 1500 and 2000 meters above sea level.
The coffee is super-fresh from harvest/processing cycle and is juicy, nutty and chocolatey, nice balance for breakfast joe! At a light-to-medium roast it is sweeter and less acidic than most Central American coffees we have offered in the past.
