NOTE: All of our premium Arabica coffees are roasted to City+ to Full City roasts, showing minimal-to-no surface oils….we want all of the flavor to stay in the beans until the coffee is ground! Despite the additional descriptors, the first flavor and aroma you'll think of is "COFFEE".

Rockstar Seasonal Espresso
Face it, it has been a long year and you want to be treated like the rockstar for at least as long as it takes to drink a fabulous cup of coffee or espresso shot. We've got you covered, putting together a rich blend of three fantastic coffees which are guaranteed to make you or your favorite giftee feel special. All these coffees are excellent on their own and especially harmonious together, prepared in your house! Live a little! The farmers insist, and YOU DESERVE IT!
Ethiopia Organic Banko Chelchele “Bogale Turki” natural process.
Bedhatu Jibicho, the elder (approaching 100 years old, congrats Bedhatu!) stateswoman of the finest Ethiopian coffee, has been passing the mantle to her son, Tesfaye Roba, and established their farmer-owned export company in Banko Chelchele woreda. This is a big deal in Ethiopian trading, now that the ECX (national coffee exchange overseer) has loosened restrictions for direct sale. Formerly, Bedhatu's coffees and fortunes were tied to the YCFCU (Yirgacheffe Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union). Now the small indie operation has brought themselves together with grower Bogale Turki and produced this certified Organic, natural process gem from elevations between 1950-2150 meters. Strong notes of chocolate, blueberry, peach and sweet grape predominate, and give our Rockstar Seasonal Espresso its oomph on the flavor wheel.
Timor-Leste Organic Ermera Letefoho was brought in to replace the prior PNG Waghi Valley. A super clean and fruity washed coffee with body reminiscent of its better-known Indo brethren,it complements the natural Ethiopia particularly well.
Fabulo as a standalone espresso too.
Colombia washed Totoro Novirao & Panquita Communities Parabolic Dried
Very long, colorful name appropriate to a delightfully complex washed community offering from indigenous coffee farmers in Totoro, a lush swath about 20 miles east of Popayan, the capital city of Cauca. Utilizing primarily Colombia and Castillo varietals grown between 1900-2100 meters. Very sweet citrussy punch component for this espresso, beautiful on its own as a drip, too. Kudos to the growers: Ciro Antonio Camayo Camayo, Maria Teresa Paz Mellizo, Ramior Antonio Vainas Zambrano, Arley Arturo Camayo Camayo, Edelmira Camayo Cometa, Liborio Zambrano Camayo and Aiber Fredy Vainas Zambrano.

Ins and outs, Ethiopia edition Yirgacheffe Kochere is officially out of stock after a torrid run...but fear not, crushing it with a new Yirg from Dumerso, a stone's throw from Chelelektu (our natural process offering). Also shortly we'll have in a wonderful Papua New Guinea, check back ...more
Comings and Goings Papua New Guinea stops about to hit us again next week, but we're void for the time being. Added to the Special du Jour Boutique roster is a sultry, certified organic natural process from Uganda Sipi Falls region (Kapkwai) and Brazil Jacarezinho natural process cold-soaked (24 hrs.)...both very ...more
Ethiopia new crop Sidamo Arfasa just in stock... Lovely coffee, as always Sidamo region shines bright in the Ethiopia landscape. Produced  in low-density "coffee gardens" by smallholder farmers, there are nice fruit and aromatic notes in this fully washed 2019 crop. A keeper!
Andrea Spella and Badbeard
Barista extraordinaire Andrea Spella poses with Badbeard outside the Spella Cafe in downtown Portland.
"Just wanted to drop you a note at your request. My wife and I came across your coffee at Tina's Restaurant in Dundee. We loved it the minute we had it. We are from Jersey and were visiting oregon (which we love) for the second time in two years. I love finding unique and sustainably grown coffee. Do you actually know which roast Tina's has, I was not sure so I ordered four roasts which I thought were possibilities. They are great so far. "
