NOTE: All of our premium Arabica coffees are roasted to City+ to Full City roasts, showing minimal-to-no surface oils….we want all of the flavor to stay in the beans until the coffee is ground! Despite the additional descriptors, the first flavor and aroma you'll think of is "COFFEE".

One of the sweetest coffees we've tasted in a long while. Like the best of their Far Eastern "siblings", coffees from indigenous co-ops in PNG are organically grown (if not certified) and offer thick body, bright acidity and floral notes. The Agoga co-op counts nearly 1000 members, who bring for processing (wet milling and sun-drying on raised African beds) ripe cherry grown at on average 1600 meters above sea level.
The green smell and palate are akin to one of my last year favorites, a Kenyan Riuki peaberry, which reminded me of strawberry shortcake. The Onaka coffee is extremely sweet and fruity with a mouthfeel closer to a chewy Sumatra Mandheling.
The co-op is on the cusp of organic certification; the great care taken overall in this coffee further indicated by the shipping in GrainPro® bags in tightly-woven jute from origin.
Not to be missed!

Tasting Notes:
Fine light color and dry grind. Pleasant pipe tobacco nose. Once brewed, this coffee roast displayed a nice roundness and unctuousness on the nose which carried through the palate. This is an very pleasing and generous coffee.

It tasted very smooth, not aggressive as far as bitterness. Very well balanced between acidity and bitterness. Made a perfect wake-up call first thing in the morning. Carolyn loved it.

"Dude!!! Got the coffee! Thank you, thank you!!! Smells AMAZING! Can't wait to try it tomorrow (says to wait until 19th). Will report back. Opening the mailbox and having that smell come wafting toward me was awesome. My dog helps me open packages (I know, I'm indulgent. Bite me.) and he wouldn't stop sniffing it. What can I say, the pup's got good taste! "
