The unabating flow of great Ethiopia coffee continues with this natural process Konga Zone (a mere 5 km. from the town of Yirgacheffe) Grade 3 super select cherry offering. Organically produced but not certified as such, and clean as a whistle. The heirloom cultivar cherries, grown above 1850 meters, are hand-picked, sun-dried on raised African beds . Fruit bomb! Going right into all Badbeard espresso blends but also a winner as a drip coffee.
The 1200+-member producing group were pre-financed for this coffee run and hence the lot was sold outside of the ECX (Ethiopia Commodity Exchange), which ensures that the farmers got a great stake in this superb lot!
