Ethiopia Guji Sidamo Natural Process

TIP: You can save products to your favorites list if you log in We are unabashed fans of natural (dry) Ethiopian coffees, which when meticulously harvested, sorted and processed on raised African beds (as pictured) represent the quintessence of this origin. This current offering of new crop Guji Sidamo Grade 3 is tropical fruit-forward and reminiscent of the Guji “Nigusie Lemma” of past years. The heirloom cultivars herein are grown between 1800-2200 meters and come to us from vertically-integrated Guji Coffee Export company, owned by Grima Edema. Grima was born into a coffee trading family, and started his career early. Guji Coffee Export has a storage center, trucks, coffee hulling machines, and two washing stations. The export company practices strict quality control, and only purchases ripe cherries from small shareholder farmers. GEC is able to control the processing from the mill level all the way to the time the coffee arrives in Djibouti for export. This has made a world of difference in quality and results in a much cleaner, sweeter cup profile than the typical Natural Sidamo. Fabulous drip coffee!
