The JASAL (after producer Jose Antonio Salaverria) group manages some of the finest plantations throughout El Salvador, which is fast becoming Central America's most interesting and forward-reaching coffee powerhouse. This natural process (fully sun-dried cherry) from the Santa Rita Estate grows at an average altitude of 1500+ meters in the Apaneca-Ilamatepec region, which is renowned for its biodiversity. Principally bourbon varietal but also comprising Catuai and the lesser-known Sarchimor, the Santa Rita natural is known as the “fruit-bomb” on the cupping table of importer Royal Coffee. Very dense layers of Sweet strawberry, dried cherry and butterscotch flavors are all found in this cup, and the low-medium acidity makes it an intriguing SO espresso. We also incorporate it in our Stradivarius Espresso.

"Just had my first cup of the Terruño Nayarita Natural you were kind enough to send me, for which, thanks. What lovely stuff! Nicely rounded body with a smooth top, and a bottom that lays gently on the tongue. The overall balance is beautiful. The flavor of this stuff is, I think, too delicate to go into a blend without losing its essential character, and should, in my opinion, be offered only as a straight single origin. In short, it was well worth [the] wait."
