Mauricio Osorio, himself (with his father) a coffee farmer, has made it his and team's mission to bring us the very best coffees from the world's third-largest coffee producer and the number source for specialty-grade Arabica.

The latest addition to our portfolio is this delightfully fruity and sweet offering from Finca Buenaventura in the municipality of Anserma, in the Caldas Dept. There young (29) dynamo producer Luz Angela Martinez Restrepo is continuing her family's legacy with tremendous dedication. It earned her a 3rd place finish in the recent competition "Caldas es Calidad" ("Caldas [Dept] Means Quality") in March of 2020.

Our washed Castillo varietal is grown at 1721 meters and only hand-picked, ripe red cherry undergoes an 18-hour, anaerobically-controlled fermentation before reaching the sun-drenched drying patios.

The cup is very sweet though the finish and characterized by notes of caramel, chocolate and hazelnuts. Really lovely morning drip or pourover coffee!
