At present we are offering four such lots: Guatemala Candelaria, Uganda Mt. elgon Kapchorwa, Peru Chasqui and Colombia Nariño Galeras.
Guatemala Candelaria is one such newbie in the 2018 crop cycle, reflecting the unique spectrum of Highland Huehuetenango, one of the most productive regions in the country. The farms are Fincas Joya Grande, Vasquez and La Maravilla, each with distinct microclimates and topography (non-volcanic), with elevations ranging from 1500-2000 meters. We are very pleased to see high-quality coffee returning to Guatemala, which was adversely affected in recent years past by the outbreak of the Roya fungus. Among the most palate-pleasing medium bodied coffees anywhere in Central America, predominant cup notes are caramel, stone fruit and dark chocolate. A beautiful morning drip or pourover cuppa and we are also offering as espresso in a medium-dark profile to accentuate the nutty midpalate….please specify your preference when ordering!
