A fortunate surfeit of good African coffee is available this season. Fully-washed heirloom varietals, grown between 1800-2000 meters. Classically chocolate and bergamot, stone fruit notes big body, not too acidic, just rich. One of the few washed coffees I'd absolutely recommend as a single origin espresso. Light-medium roast, smallish beans predominate. This coffee received the highest cupping score...93.. I've ever seen from the importer for a "generic" washed Yirgacheffee. This means the small pool of small-holder farms involved producing this coffee had a GREAT YEAR, and we salute them.
