NOTE: All of our premium Arabica coffees are roasted to City+ to Full City roasts, showing minimal-to-no surface oils….we want all of the flavor to stay in the beans until the coffee is ground! Despite the additional descriptors, the first flavor and aroma you'll think of is "COFFEE".

Colombia Nariño Supremo

The freshest (slap me!) offerings are now streaming in from South America in the mid-winter "mitaca" harvest (December-February). Our Colombia Narino Excelso EP coffee comes from small family owned farms in the growing region in the department of Nariño, Colombia. Small coffee producers pick and process their coffee at their own micro-wet mills and then dry their own coffee, typically on elevated tables inside solar dryers that provide protection from the rain.Castillo, Typica and Caturra varietals, rainforest-grown between 1750-2150 meters, are represented in this Supremo, which is a bean-size designation (the biggest!). Very nice acidity, brilliant citrus & floral top notes and nice body. Described by the importer Royal Coffee's cupping squadron as "Magnificent", this is a super coffee for a bargain price! Light-medium roast profile, and best enjoyed in pourover..thicker-bodied in French Press.

The infamous coffee-bean cleaning-machine Jacu bird from the Amazon
If your coffee tastes like s--t, don't blame the Jacu bird! This infamous Amazon bean-machine beak-selects each coffee berry at the peak of ripeness and leaves just the beans, somewhat clean and green, behind...so to speak.
"After we switched to Badbeard, no one in our office can abide any other coffee. We are currently finishing off a recent roast of Mexican Terruño Nayarita, certified organic, sustainably harvested coffee from El Malinal, on the slopes of Cerro San Juan. Badbeard's roasting profile brings out a full, rich flavor, laced with citrus notes, chocolate, cinnamon, vanilla, and birch bark. Spices, grilled meat, and a hint of a tobacco note round out the finish. This is a coffee that rewards the taster every time. "
