Colombia Geisha Finca Manantiales del Frontino

TIP: You can save products to your favorites list if you log in We've been reluctant to overindulge in the near-fetishistic frenzy surrounding the Geisha varietal since it started garnering accolades in roughly 2004 in the highlands of Panama. At their best expression they offer an unparalleled range of floral and fruity topnotes and gossamer textures. Best experienced in a pourover format, although the intoxicating aromas from the ground coffee alone can stop traffic!
This holiday season will be an exception as we got a small quantity of a microlot geisha from the vaunted Colombian farm Finca Manantiales del Frontino in Caicedonia, Valle de Cauca. This 170-hectare, seed-to-cup establishment grows 10 varietals at elevations from 1500-2000 meters, and their Geisha (17 hectares planted) comes from sectors at 1700-1900 meters. Their 2011 Geisha won “coffee of the year” in the SCAA competition, and this serious farm has been a quality force for many years.
We are doing a light roast for maximal impact of lemon zest, cherry, jasmine and cane sugar in your cup. A special coffee for a special occasion and a nice gift for your favorite coffee geek.! Also of interest from this farm is our Colombia Manantiales Red Bourbon, an altogether different coffee.
