Brazil Natural Process Dry (OurCoffees)

TIP: You can save products to your favorites list if you log in We Badbeardians were all excited when we learned of a new West Coast-based source of fine Brazil coffees, and decided after cupping a wide range of current crop offerings, picked up OurCoffee “Unique and “Sugar”. OurCoffees is a program developed by Copermonte (“Cooperativa Agricola de Monte Carmelo”) formed by a group of more than 600 small coffee producers from the Cerrado Mineiro Region. The CMR, a high-quality origin, is the first in Brazil with “Protected Geographical Indication”. OurCoffees is a vertical seed-to-cup operation flourishing in an area which produces upwards of 6 billion pounds of green coffee annually, and full traceability to roasters (and consumers ultimately). We anticipate a long and fruitful relationship with this group in the years to come…no more “solid but boring Brazils”!
Late Harvest '14 (just arrived 12/11/14 ) OurCoffees "Dry" is produced at Fazenda Lambari by producer Leandro Rodrigues de Freitas and is comprised of 100% Acaia indigenous varietal. Cup profile notes edge closer to chocolate/black pepper/plantain/sweet and is less citrusy than "Unique", but no less satisfying as a SO espresso. Will also be a component of Brazil Trio Con Brio espresso.
